Het hout is mooi glad en bezit, in tegenstelling tot grenen thermowood, **geen ‘knopen’** (fouten in de houtstructuur). Nadat ayous hout is behandeld, heeft het een mooie bruine en warme uitstraling. Niet zo lang daarna verandert het hout in een goudgele kleur, om dan geleidelijk aan egaal te vergrijzen (net zoals tropisch hardhout). Wil je de oorspronkelijke kleur liever behouden? Dan kan je het hout eventueel behandelen met beits of vernis. Hieronder volgen nog enkele andere specificaties van ayous thermowood: - Ayous thermowood heeft een goede isolerende werking (0,09 W/mK) - Het hout zal nauwelijks krimpen of uitzetten; de vormstabiliteit is groot - Het hout wordt op een ecologisch verantwoorde manier behandeld, zonder toevoeging van chemicaliën of bijtende zuren - Thermo ayous behoort tot duurzaamheidsklasse 1-2 (zelfde levensduur als hardhout) - Het materiaal heeft een lage volumieke massa, wat handig is bij gevelbekleding - Ayous thermowood is gemakkelijk te bewerken, zowel machinaal als met de hand (dankzij de egale structuur) - Geen risico op scheuren of verrotting ### Optie schaven Bij deze keuze verlies je 5 à 10 mm op de kopmaat, maar krijg je een mooi glad oppervlak. ## Broodkruimels -
