De kopmaat bedraagt 24 x 125 mm. Binnen dit artikel zijn lengtes tot 6 m mogelijk; de beschikbare lengte kies je per variant. ### Voor timmerwerk zonder vochtinwerking Epicea is een veelzijdige keuze voor binnenconstructies en andere timmerwerken op plaatsen waar het hout niet aan vocht wordt blootgesteld. De lichte kleur past ook bij werk waarbij het hout zichtbaar blijft. ### Schaven of drenken als optie Je kunt het hout optioneel laten schaven of kleurloos of groen laten drenken. Drenken biedt bescherming tegen insecten en schimmels. Kies je voor schaven, houd er dan rekening mee dat de opgegeven kopmaat met 5 tot 10 mm vermindert. ### PEFC-gecertificeerd hout Dit epicea timmerhout draagt het PEFC-certificaat. Zo kun je ook de herkomst van het hout meenemen in je materiaalkeuze. ### Epicea hout Epicea komt van de fijnspar, een naaldboom. Het hout is doorgaans witachtig tot crèmekleurig, met een vrij rechte draad en zichtbare groeiringen. Het laat zich gemakkelijk verzagen en bewerken; rond kwasten kan het bij bewerking sneller splinteren of scheuren. Van nature is epicea weinig duurzaam en gevoelig voor langdurige vochtinwerking.
