### Epicea timmerhout voor droge constructies

Dit timmerhout van epicea, ook vuren genoemd, combineert een laag gewicht met goede sterkte. Het is geschikt voor uiteenlopende timmerwerken op plaatsen zonder vochtinwerking, van houten raamwerken tot zichtbare binnenstructuren.

### Kopmaat van 24 x 100 mm en lengtes tot 600 cm

De opgegeven kopmaat is 24 x 100 mm. Je kiest de lengte die aansluit bij je project, tot maximaal 600 cm. Zo kan je het hout afstemmen op de afmetingen van je constructie.

### Behandeling en schaven op maat van het werk

Kleurloos of groen drenken is een optie voor bescherming tegen insecten en schimmels. Kies je voor schaven, houd er dan rekening mee dat de afgewerkte kopmaat 5 tot 10 mm kleiner wordt dan de opgegeven maat.

### PEFC-gecertificeerd hout

Dit epicea timmerhout draagt het PEFC-certificaat. Het lichte hout laat zich vlot verwerken bij timmer- en schrijnwerk binnenshuis.

### Epicea hout

Epicea is het hout van de fijnspar, een naaldboom. Vurenhout heeft doorgaans een bleke, witachtige tot crèmekleurige tint en een rustige houttekening. Het is licht, sterk en goed te bewerken. Daardoor wordt het vaak gebruikt voor constructiehout, binnenschrijnwerk en meubels.

Epicea heeft een lage natuurlijke duurzaamheid en is gevoelig voor langdurig vocht. Voor onbehandeld hout zijn droge binnentoepassingen daarom de aangewezen keuze. Zoals bij ander massief hout kunnen veranderingen in vochtgehalte werking veroorzaken; ook hars kan plaatselijk voorkomen.
